I recently got into growing sundews and thanks to my ADHD had to have EVERYTHING for them (heat pad, humidity dome, humidity detector that hooks up to my phone and sends alerts, etc). I bought these lights due to not having a lot of room as they are on a shelf in my office. The clamp is strong and holds them mostly in place unless I have to move them then it might slip a little, the lights when put close to my sundews have worked amazingly, 3 of my sundew variants turn red when they have enough light and they are in the process of doing so as well as my mature sundew is now flowering meaning it is happy with its current environment. I would recommend these to someone just starting out with growing, however I don’t think they’d be suitable for a larger collection (depending on the light needed for your plants, mine are high light plants).

No clear directions included. I am using the GroDrow during the winter months for houseplants that require high amounts of sunlight.

Decent small unit for seedlings and herbs. I recently started zucchini, basil, chive, and cilantro just using light from the window and they did not grow nearly as quickly as those started under this light. I recommend the tri color setting rather than “full spectrum” as it seems to work better for small, young plants. Timer works just as advertised. Clip is decently strong, but not a vice. The adjustable function is nice for quickly growing plants.

This light has been so wonderful. I love on the shady side of an apartment so I don’t get much direct sunlight. These lights have made sure that my plants do not wilt or die. I love the timer function because I never have to remember to turn it on. It really makes my life so much easier and makes me feel like I have a green thumb.If your plants start to fry, fry, or burn, you can move the arms farther away from the leaves. It took me a few weeks to find the perfect distance.
